April theme is GETTING GROUNDED.
There is nothing quite like being in nature that helps us get centered. I'm fortunate to live in a home with a beautiful lawn and sycamore tree out front. It's like a friend who is way older than I am and very, very steady. Sometimes when I'm feeling particularly %$&^, I'll just walk out of the house and sit under the tree. Usually barefoot so I can feel the grass and ground under me.
Do you have a special place in nature that makes you feel at peace? Somewhere nearby? This weekend's challenge is to spend some time there. Even just 10 minutes makes a difference, right? If it's out of reach, any patch of ground, tree, lake, rock that is close by is fair game.
Here's a good article on health benefits of going barefoot. :)
